Our Redbird FMX Full Motion Simulator is a state-of-the-art, FAA approved, AATD (Advanced Aviation Training Device). Available in two configurations, you may fly this simulated airplane as:

Cessna 182 G1000
with Auto Pilot
Cessna 172 6-pack
with Garmin 430/530 Stack

Under FAA Advisory Circular 61-136, AATDs may be approved and authorized for use in accomplishing certain required tasks, maneuvers or procedures as applicable under 14 CFR parts 61 and 141 as follows:

Logging instrument flight experience
Instrument Rating (Maximum 20 hours)
Instrument Rating Practical Test (Per FAA-S-8081-4)
Instrument Proficiency Check (Per FAA-S-8081-4)
NOTE: Circling-to-land not authorized
Private Pilot Certificate (Maximum 2.5 hours)
Commercial Pilot Certificate (Maximum 50 hours)
Commercial Pilot Practical Test (Per FAA-S-8081-5)
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Maximum 25 hours)
Airline Transport Pilot Practical Test (Per FAA-S-8081-5)
Part 141 as limited by the applicable appendices, or under a special curriculum approved under part 141, 141.57


	The Redbird FMX utilizes a USB keying system. Each pilot is assigned a unique Redbird Pilot key which allows access to the simulator and stores information about flights taken in the FMX. It also stores credits for use on future simulator time.



		The Redbird FMX is equipped with six monitors dedicated only to external views. This high-quality, wrap-around visual system helps to set the sensation of flight. A realistic visual that enhances training at all levels by allowing you to train procedures and maneuvers that are not possible with other limited view flight training devices.
